The inspiration for the original colours was kept, but the Chief Panda decided they needed to be a little more slick and demanded improved detail, richer colours and an improved finish coating to deliver Hanzo 120 an all round better topwater game. While the improvements, may look subtle, they are already out there smacking fish!
Hanzo is here in a range of colours, ready to go into battle and take down any fish that swims! After much research fishing the lures over the world, the range was settled. The Angry Panda Hanzo colour range has been inspired by the great Japanese Samurai warrior culture. Featuring throwback references to the rising sun through intricate reflective fin details and the potent Angry Panda ‘Angry Eye’, these lures deliver everything required in a timber stickbait for GT fishing and all bluewater predators.
Angry Panda Lures have taken years of refinement. In a specific aim to deliver a premium quality, high end full timber bodied stickbait for GT fishing at an affordable price that any aspiring or seasoned bluewater fisho will love. Hanzo 120 is a brilliant, aggressive swimming stickbait that is the ideal size for any angler to cast. Built to last with one piece through wiring harness, reinforced nose and tail and only the very best quality belly swivel that money can buy. The Hanzo is an epic stickbait for GT fishing!
Hanzo 120 swims with a wide and aggressively seductive ‘S Swim’ and a body roll that predatory fish cannot resist. It pops to the surface and exposes it’s nose at rest, ready for another sweep and swim.
Critical balance and design has allowed Panda HQ to design this lure to accommodate a range of hook setups. However, the chief Angry Panda himself recommends several rigging options.
Rigging the Hanzo 120 stickbait for GT fishing
For the the very best swim and performance from Hanzo 120 in all round conditions, rig with a Gamakatsu GT Recorder 6/0 barbless treble on the belly swivel and a Shout Ringed Kudako 7/0 single on the tail.
In rougher conditions and high current, you can switch that tail single out for another Gamakatsu GT Recorder barbless treble to assist the lure to hold it’s grip and presence in the water for the ultimate delivery!
Hanzo testing and development
The focus to get the swimming action and performance of Angry Panda lures is a long process. Hanzo 120 has been in development for many years. There was no way the Angry Panda was letting this to market without being 100% perfectly happy with any lure that bears his brand. Angry Pandas have swum in many oceans around the world. Locally, the Great Barrier Reef/Coral Sea, along with Western Australia have seen great results. International locations from PNG, Fiji, Indonesia, Panama & even the home of mega GT fishing, Oman have all been successfully tested.
